Terranix Lite Admin Guide

This guide explains how to run a Terranix Lite workspace: adding projects and allotting people to them, adding people and setting their hourly rates, reading the reports, and giving admin access.

It is intended for Admins and for the Owner of a Lite workspace. Recording your own time and attendance is covered in the Terranix Lite User Guide and is not repeated here.

What an Admin and the Owner have in addition

An Admin and the Owner use Terranix Lite for their own time and attendance exactly as everyone else does; that, the screen layout and signing in are described in the Terranix Lite User Guide and are not repeated here. This guide covers the two extra tabs, Projects and Team, and Admin reports. Lite has the same screens on a computer and on a phone; the wide lists in this guide are pictured on a computer, where they are easier to read, and on a phone they can be slid sideways to reach the columns on the right.

Owner
The person who set the workspace up. The Owner can do everything in this guide.
Admin
A person the Owner has given admin access. An Admin runs projects, people and reports and can close a month. Some actions are kept for the Owner; the table in the next section lists them.
Open and closed months
People can change their own time while a month is open. Closing a month makes its entries final. It is how time is approved in Lite: by the month, not entry by entry. Nothing else in Lite waits for approval: a change you save takes effect at once.
Hourly rate
The amount set for one hour of a person's work. You set it for each person under Team, People.
Amount
Hours multiplied by the hourly rate. Lite shows it for each person and each project.

The tabs for an Admin and for the Owner

Phone

  2. 2Projects — the list of projects, with the hours and the amount logged on each.
  3. 3Team — offers People and Access & roles.
  4. 4The list that Team opens. People holds the team members and their hourly rates. Access & roles is where the Owner makes someone an Admin.
